District Pinewood Derby
The Huguenot Trail Pinewood Derby will be held February 25th. The following are the rules that will be followed during derby. Individual Packs should use these as a guide for their own Pinewood Derby.

These rules have been developed over the years to help ensure that each entry does not provide an unfair advantage over their competition. The are unchanged from last year.

Clarification: NO pre-made/cut cars are allowed. This includes "official" BSA pre-made kits by Revell or other manufactures. Use of these kits is not in the spirit of Scouting.
  1. The idea behind the Pinewood Derby is for the SCOUT to enjoy a fun, friendly and fair competition. Thus teaching the Core Values of Honesty, Perseverance, Positive Attitude, Resourcefulness, Respect, Responsibility and Sportsmanship.
  2. The Scout should be dressed in a neat, clean Class A uniform to participate in the District Pinewood Derby. Each unit can mandate their own dress code for their Pinewood Derby.
  3. Arrive in plenty of time to have your car checked in and inspected and no later than 20 minutes before races start
