		<title>Chesterfield County Fair Parade</title>
		<link>http://www.huguenottrail.org/content/view/345/</link>
<description>The Chesterfield County Fair has &quot;grand parade&quot; every year, and the scouts are invited to be a part of the parade. The scouts and scout leaders that come in full Class A uniforms will get into the fair free that night. They can bring their unit flag and US flag to carry if they wish.

The scouts need to preregister and will come through Gate 3 to sign in. They meet at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, Aug. 28th, at the back of the fairgrounds to line up. The parade starts at 7 PM and the parade makes one loop around the fairgrounds. It takes about 10 - 15 min. to walk the loop, and then the scouts can spend the rest of the evening enjoying the fair.

Pre-registration is required. Contact Terry Fife at 804-921-4439 to register or for any questions. Please see flyer for more details.</description>

		<title>KidWind Challenge</title>
		<link>http://www.huguenottrail.org/content/view/344/</link>
<description>James Madison University is holding their second KidWind Challenge (http://learn.kidwind.org/challenge) on June 16th, and scouts are invited to participate.

For this event, students spend time designing and constructing their own wind turbines with the goal of creating a device that is efficient, elegant and highly functional. Once at the event, teams will compete to see whose turbine will generate the most electricity in the JMU wind tunnels. The judging criteria will be based on Turbine power performance, turbine construction, and knowledge of wind energy topics. With a hands on learning approach to math, science, technology, and sustainability, this would be a great opportunity for Boy Scouts to take advantage of. Registration can be completed online (http://learn.kidwind.org/workshops_events/state/virginia/event/2922).
